The Kenmore humidifiers are in the lower price range. Most of them are great for one room up to 500 sq. ft.. There are not that many places online that sell these products but you can find it here, on eBay and in Sears.
They humidify the room often by the cool air mist and not the warm mist. As a side note, the Kenmore Humidifiers do use the filter, and will be an ongoing maintenance cost. But it is worth is, since it will protect you from the harmful bacteria.
